about the idea


The Story started in 2014: Within 8 days 464 winelovers from 9 countries joined #WINEWICHTELN. We were flashed.

Than 2015 came around the corner: Incredible 1035 winelovers from 15 countries joined #WINEWICHTELN.

People from all over the world, professionals as well as hobby enthusiasts, shared their wines with strangers from far away places. You can truly say that wine connects the world.

After the wine exchange local groups in cities like Hamburg, Berlin, Munich or in regions like Mosel were established by #WINEWICHTELN fans to share some nice bottles together. The ➳ winewichtlen Facebook group became a perfect place for exchangin the passion for wine.

In order to join the Wichteln, you just need to follow these 4 steps. Please keep in mind that this project is based on trust and people rely on your motivation to send wine. If you enroll and don’t send your wine, you are ruining the whole project.

  1. ENROLL & get a bottle of wine If you want to join Wine Wichteln, and thereby receive and send some wine, please fill out ➳ THIS FORM until 02 Dezember 2016. Get a bottle from your cellar or buy a bottle (0,75 L) of handcrafted wine.
  2. RAFFLE From the 6th of December onwards you will receive the person you will send the wine to (via e-mail).
  3. SEND your great wine bottle (full) until the 12th of Dezember 2016 to the person of which you received the adress vie e-mail.
  4. ENJOY & SHARE Please share your wine experience ➳ WINEWICHTLEN FACEBOOK GROUP And if you share photos, instagrams, tweets, etc., please use the hashtag: #WINEWICHTELN
